Overview
  • The Solution Architect - Construction will assist external clients in learning and using software programs and applications like Autodesk Construction Cloud, Autodesk Build and Autodesk Cost Management.
  • A week will typically consist of about 80% pre-sales, 10% marketing communication, and 10% learning/innovation.
  • Presales work includes assisting sales representatives in technical discovery calls to uncover service (project work) opportunities.
  • Presales will include working with our customers to ensure they have the best solution for them, which will include the demonstration of the products and developing a training plan for a successful implementation.
  • Advising clients on issues relating to the choice and use of appropriate software, including specification of appropriate system platforms.
  • Providing practical demonstrations of the use of software related to client needs
  • Delivering presentations on software at customer meetings and events
  • Providing technical assistance to sales staff during the pre-sales stage of client negotiations
  • Learning/Innovation consists of a team member expanding their skillsets, adding new software to a team members knowledge base, or touching up on given topics 

Foundational Competencies:

  • Our team members must manage upcoming trainings, setting up meetings in advance to training date to drive accountability, and identify risks to the project or schedule.
  • Strong communication skills are used to learn more about client requirements, and documenting conversations to disseminate information to the project team.
  • Presentation skills are used to ensure topic retention by clients.
  • A team member should have strong relational skills to connect to other teams within the internal organization and clients.
Responsibilities

The Solution Architect - Construction will be able to perform the following:

  • Steer customers with strategic business conversations to understand key business initiatives.
  • Identify, document, and develop both customer and potential workflows. 
  • Create well-defined scopes of work for product implementations, configurations, and customization.
Qualifications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills able to deliver engaging, compelling, structured communication with vitality and passion to senior managers and end-users alike.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and willing to learn. Must be a good listener able to see the other person’s point of view. Confirms, qualifies, and clarifies and promotes trust and openness.
  • Able to work with others and work as part of a team, you must be creative in obtaining information to solve problems methodically and independently.
  • Disciplined and dependable with excellent follow-through skills and a can-do attitude.
  • Project and cost management experience.
