Dynatrace is looking for a Labour & Employment Counsel, EMEA to join its global Legal Team in a newly created role. Reporting into the VP, Legal – Labour & Employment, you will partner closely with Dynatrace’s People & Culture team and People Leaders to assess existing policies, programs, processes and practices, identify gaps and inefficiencies, and drive innovative solutions to enhance the employee experience while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations across the EMEA region.

You will also partner with Legal and People Leaders to conduct internal employee-related investigations and lead employment claims and litigation. Working closely with the VP, Legal, Labour & Employment, your responsibilities will include: 

  • Providing advice and strategic counsel to People & Culture (P&C) and business leaders across the company on a range of employment law issues spanning the employee lifecycle (including, recruiting, hiring, training, performance management, employee relations issues, terminations) across both existing and new EMEA markets, as well as other international markets on an as-needed basis. 

  • Advising P&C and business leaders on employment matters across the EMEA region, including, collective bargaining agreements (CBA), labor relations and Works Councils, compensation, benefits, leaves of absence, accommodations, diversity and inclusion programs and other employment-related corporate initiatives. 

  • Evaluating and developing employment policies, programs, processes, and practices to execute priorities, and helping ensure compliance in the EMEA region. 

  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of EMEA employment-related agreements, templates and other documents, including employment contracts, separation agreements, and performance management documentation. 

  • Assisting in developing and conducting training and education programs for employees, managers, and the P&C team. 

  • Responding to claims, demand letters, administrative complaints, whistleblowing, audits, and other employment-related inquiries, and lead any related litigation, mediations and/or settlements of employment-related disputes. 

  • Coordinating with and managing outside counsel in EMEA on employment matters to convert outside counsel feedback into actionable internal advice and guidance. 


Preferred experience

Qualifications

  • Qualified lawyer in at least one EMEA jurisdiction (Bachelor of Law or equivalent degree) 

  • Experience in experience in international employment/labor law and the ability to apply knowledge pragmatically. In-house experience preferred but no required.  

  • Collaborative, able to strategically plan, work cross-functionally, consensus build, multi-task, and be a team player.  

  • Strong organizational and communications skills and attention to detail. 

  • Hands-on experience partnering with and advising HR personnel and other key stakeholders at international organizations on a broad range of employment matters.  

  • Fluent in written and spoken English; fluency in German and/or French is a plus.  

  • Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and comfortable interacting with senior executives, and members of their teams. 

  • Proactive and able to identify and anticipate needs.

Compensation and rewards

We offer attractive compensation packages and stock purchase options with numerous benefits and advantages.

Due to legal reasons, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary for this position, which is € 90,000 gross per year based on full-time employment (38.5 h/week). We offer a higher salary in line with qualifications and experience.
