The position

Job description

The project quality manager is responsible for the APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) process within the Customer project management. Therefore, it is the role of the project quality engineer to monitor the maturity status of deliverables that have effect in quality, assess potential risks and report program status accordingly.

Main Tasks:

  • Plan, organize and implement all kind of preventive/quality ensuring actions in development projects
  • Collaboration in interdisciplinary and customer specific project teams to develop Li-Ion cells and modules
  • Ensure deliverables maturity follow up/milestones from the DRL (Deliverable Requirement List)
  • Ensure and execute the Advanced Product Quality Planning) process within the Customer project.
  • Ensure high quality problem solving using problem-solving methods as 8D, FTA, Ishikawa, Kepner Tregoe or the appropriate customer problem solving documents and processes.
  • Define and implement quality requirements and targets in close cooperation with the customer and ensure them during the development process
  • Develop and maintain quality management plans from the prototype phase until serial production
  • Ensure machine, process and measuring equipment capability studies
  • Organize and coordinate Initial Sampling with our customers (VDA 2, PPAP)
  • Support the production plants in the implementation of product and process changes

Preferred experience

  • Project management in the automotive sector
  • Experience with Li-Ione Batteries would be an asset
  • Knowledge of Quality tools and technics as APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC
  • Min. 5 years of working experience in quality planning related activities, preferably in the automotive industry
  • Experienced in Quality tools
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or similar technical degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Trained in standards for quality management systems and application of quality management tools and techniques:
  • Fluent level of German and English in speaking and writing
  • French language is a plus
