About the Team Hiring

Our Finance WW team is dedicated to the meticulous processing of financial transactions and serves as the custodian of the Audited Annual Financial Statements.

We assume responsibility for Cash Management (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, etc.), ensuring adherence to Corporate Group Policies and local regulatory requirements. Our diligent efforts result in a consistently low Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).

Monthly, we provide comprehensive reports to the Group, meeting all deadlines, and conduct thorough analyses to elucidate variances from budgeted figures.

Collaborating closely with all functions including Sales, Order Operations, and Technology, we actively support local business operations. Our pivotal role involves defining key performance indicators (KPIs) to empower informed decision-making, thereby facilitating business growth and achievement of corporate objectives.

Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounting:
    • With the external accountant Oversee all aspects of daily accounting operations to maintain accurate financial records.
    • Ensure adherence to accounting principles and standards, meticulously managing the general ledger.
    • Supervise the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Reporting:

    • Prepare precise and timely financial reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
    • Ensure compliance with Romanian financial reporting standards and regulations, guaranteeing accuracy and transparency.
    • In close collaboration with the external accountant, manage the preparation and submission of statutory reports to Romanian authorities, maintaining strict regulatory compliance.
  • Romanian Legislation Reporting:
    • Stay updated with changes in Romanian financial legislation and regulations.
    • Ensure all financial practices align with local laws and regulations, proactively addressing any discrepancies.
    • Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies as needed, facilitating smooth audits and regulatory compliance.
  • Budgeting:
    • Lead the annual budgeting process, overseeing all aspects from preparation to forecasting and variance analysis.
    • Collaborate closely with department heads to develop and manage budgets that align with organizational goals and objectives.
    • Monitor budget performance closely, providing regular updates to management and implementing corrective measures as necessary.
  • R&D Controlling:
    • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying opportunities for optimization and improvement.
    • Develop and implement robust financial and extra financial controls and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and mitigate risks.
    • Provide senior management with valuable financial insights and recommendations to support informed decision-making.
    • Support the investment decision process and product roadmap financials.
  • R&D Budgeting:

    • Lead the R&D annual budgeting process, overseeing all aspects from preparation to forecasting and variance analysis.

    • Collaborate closely with department heads to develop and manage budgets that align with organizational goals and objectives.

    • Monitor budget performance closely, providing regular updates to management and implementing corrective measures as necessary.

Responsibilities
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, with at least 3 years in a position demonstrating strong leadership and management skills, even if not directly managing a team
  • In-depth knowledge of Romanian accounting and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience with group reporting 
  • Proven track record of successfully managing financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting.
  • Experience in financial modeling, Excel, and any financial management software
  • Experience working in a multinational or global organization is a plus.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting;
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent proficiency in any financial software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders and senior management.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English ( proficiency in French may be advantageous )
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
